Sarah Harris, a widowed New York City tow truck driver, is tired of her life and the negative elements in it. She is treated like a doormat by her son and her mother’s constant berating of her makes her feel like a child again. Her boss resents Sarah’s desire to better herself and does everything he can to throw obstacles in her way.
At forty-three, Sarah decides to return to college, applying to a nontraditional Scholars' Program headed by Dr. Winnie Thompson, a woman who is also in need of a life change due to a particularly unsatisfying love affair with her boss at the local university.
Both at a crossroad, Sarah and Winnie meet one chilly night when Winnie is stranded by a blown out tire on her car. The two women are drawn to each other and seek support from one another, even though Sarah knows that her family and friends may object to the discovery of her sexual orientation as a lesbian. Will Sarah overcome the barriers to her happiness, or will she continue to suffer from Sweet Sarah’s Bluez?

I liked the story line. What i didn't like was the way some of the Black's were portrayed as being some what illiterate in the way they spoke. I am a 75 year old Black female. I grew up poor in the country in NC. I can't recall any one around me whose English was as bad as it is in your story. It was a big turn off. I almost stopped reading the story. I loved Sarah and Winnie. I loved the ending but would have liked to get further into the romance. Also, there were quite a few typos.Product details

GOOD read. At times a little boring with the son but ok. Always love location discriptatives. Sadie and Winnie in love.
There's not a book that I have read by this author that I have not enjoyed. I love B.L. Wilson books, wish there was a sequel to this book!
This story was great. I would love to see a Forever Woman Book 3 on Dr. Leah Williams. Did she regret the lost of two beautiful women and is she going to change from seeing a counselor or remain the same?
I have been following your work for the past year or so. I do prefer lesbian stories over coming out ones, but I liked this one. Especially seeing as it's a series, I look forward to reading the rest
I enjoyed this book as I do all of this authors work. This is a coming out story really and it’s not your usual one at that. A tow truck driver and a professor find love on the job. But neither of their supervisors will make it easy. Read for yourself, you will enjoy it.

I want to read the author's other work, but I fell so much in love with this couple, it's hard to believe the others' tales would be as interesting. Even though that's silly - of course, they would - they have the same author.
B. L. Wilson has become one of my favorite writers. This book was amazing. You have a spoiled son who thinks he can get whatever he wants. A grandmother who is still dealing with her past that she can not love her own daughter the way she should. Then you have a mother who is always trying to please everyone else, but never herself until she signs up for school and falls in love with a woman. Love comes in all shapes and sizes. No matter your age or sexuality love can find you.
